Ah, Weymouth. With its Georgian seafront, sheltered bay and golden sands- you should definitely head there if you want a lovely seaside day out. If you fancy some good ol’ fish and chips (with mushy peas and a cup of tea, of course), the wonderfully British Punch and Judy show, and some proper sandy stretches to build a sand castle or two, then you won’t be disappointed.
This part of the bay on Dorset’s Jurassic coast boasts fairly shallow waters so they warm up quickly and make for a lovely day of paddling or paddle boarding – the latest summertime sport of the moment.
Last summer, apart from the fact that it started pouring with rain after we had finished the last morsel of our fish and chips, and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to stay dry… we had a lovely time!
If you want to bring a bit of the Weymouth seaside into your place, check out the items above.
